waterStrider has a pilot facility in Vancouver, BC, Canada, for its proprietary Lithium Rapid Extraction and Concentration (LiREC^TM) system and is test treating water for lithium extraction and concentration.

Our LiREC system is highly effective, with recovery of up to 99.9% of lithium from water and is ideally suited as a pre-DLE Extraction process that rapidly extracts and concentrates lithium by up to 50x into a solid cake.  By significantly reducing the feedstock volume, DLE systems can be much smaller, lowering both capital and operating costs of direct lithium extraction.

In addition, LiREC removes a broad suite of contaminants from oil & gas produced water that need to be removed prior to DLE.  LiREC enables lithium to be recovered from produced water and creates a clean brine that can be reused continuously by oil & gas producers or injected for disposal without fouling.
